Comic Strip Overview
Life lessons and humor are constants in the story of Sound-It-Out Sasquatch. This comic strip revolves around a married couple who mean the world to each other. They just happen to be Bigfoots! Whereas, most of their kind prefer to stay away from humans, these two have foregone their natural shyness and decided to live amongst people! What were they thinking?! We can all learn from this strip because it suggests that we should accept those who are different from ourselves.

Sound-It-Out Sasquatch
The protagonist attained his nickname (Sound-It-Out) because his given name Baatarsaikhan was too hard for others to pronounce. When teachers and classmates had trouble doing so, he’d tell them to break it into syllables. As a youngster, he uttered the words, “sound it out” so often that his peers just started calling him that instead. The phrase stuck and became his nickname. Presently, Sound-It-Out lives with Sasha, his wife and their dog Samson. He’s a Middle School Social Studies Teacher.

Sasha Squatch
Sasha is the definition of “the better half” in a marriage. Not only does she try to keep her husband out of trouble. She also maintains the household while holding down a career as a Collections
Specialist.

Samson, The Dog
One tough cookie! A veterinarians’ nightmare! His physical strength is matched only by his stubbornness. Yes, he’s Sound-It-Out's and Sasha’s pet Rottweiler. However, it’s also evident that sometimes he thinks he’s in charge.

Ms. Ruby, The Next Door Neighbor
Feisty, sassy, and opinionated! She's the type of person who won’t hesitate to tell you exactly what's on her mind. She's retired and has had at least three husbands! From time to time, she has disagreements with all of them (mostly regarding Samson), but ultimately she cares about them and they care about her.
